Lucy was 9 years old when she came home with us in January, 2006. After our beloved Triko went to the Rainbow Bridge a few months prior, we
adopted Lucy through the
Seattle Beagle Rescue. All we know about her is that she came from Spokane, where her family
left her at a shelter when she was no longer wanted. She has a pretty bad case of arthritis in her hips and rear knees. Likely she was
in an accident when she was younger, possibly automobile related. Lucy knows what a dog house is; and she had her fur worn down to the
skin with large callouses in several places from laying for long periods of time on a hard surface. Lucy is very sweet and loving
and is a huge fan of car rides and food of all kinds. She has a special talent of being able to open the refrigerator door. We are happy
to give her a wonderful home where she can sleep in our bed and live out her days in comfort.
